Terms and conditions

All customers are advised to read the below terms and conditions. When placing a deposit with the Tattoo Artist, you are formally agreeing to these terms and conditions, and you therefore agree to take responsibility to adhere to them.

Please read the below before booking a consultation or appointment:

-In the UK, it is illegal to Tattoo anyone under the age of 18, please do not ask, even with parental consent we will not Tattoo you.

-The studio is an 18+ only environment, so please do not bring anyone under the age of 18 with you.

-When you arrive for your appointment you’ll need to fill out a consent form. We will ask questions regarding health conditions and medications, you are expected to be entirely honest when answering these questions, as some conditions and medications may mean that you’re unable to be Tattooed. If you would like to see the consent form prior to your appointment please contact us and we will send over a copy for you to read. Any confidential information stored adheres to record keeping requirements from the Local Authority and is disposed of in line with the GDPR guidelines. Forms that have been filled out are kept in storage that is locked and shredded when no longer of use.

-You cannot be Tattooed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

-We will check your skin on the day of your appointment, and if there are any signs of damage, infection, inflammation or reaction, we won’t be able to Tattoo you. This includes any of the below:

Signs of an allergic reaction to something.

An Eczema, acne or psoriasis flare up that is in the area you are due to be Tattooed in.

Any type of cut, broken skin, sunburn or peeling skin from sunburn, blister, infection or scratch.

Please let us know of any existing skin condition flare-ups even if they’re not near the planned Tattoo area (as this shows that your immune system is elevated and the skin is likely to not react well to a Tattoo)

Please let us know of any concerns with giving as much notice as possible if you’re unable to be Tattooed on your appointment date, due to one of the above.

If you cannot be Tattooed on the day of your appointment due to it not being safe to do so, your deposit will not be refunded, however, you can rebook for another day.

-It is expected that you leave at least 2 weeks between your Tattoo, and any type of vaccination.

-It is expected that you leave at least 4 weeks between your Tattoo and cosmetic procedures that are considered minor (I.e. dental work, Botox, micro blading, minor injuries, cosmetic tattoos)

-For any operations or procedures considered major (I.e. chemo, broken bones, organ transplants etc…) or ongoing treatment, medication and anything else you may be unsure about, please contact your GP for advice before booking an appointment with us.

-Absolutely no racist, homophobic or offensive Tattoos will be done under any circumstances.

-Other artists work will not be copied unless there is permission from the artist themselves.

-You will not see your design until the day of your appointment (this is for copyright reasons, as each design is unique and not to be taken elsewhere) any changes can be made on the day or you’re more than welcome to book a consultation to review the design.

-You can discuss any concerns with your artist openly and freely, whether it be about placement, size or the design itself.

-If you plan to use numbing cream, please let us know prior to your appointment, and do a patch test prior to your appointment in an area not near your desired Tattoo area, as numbing cream can cause redness, rashes or swelling, please be aware we cannot Tattoo you if this has occurred. Note that all customers take this risk if choosing to use numbing cream, so take all the necessary precautions.

Booking your appointment:

-A deposit of £50 as a minimum is required to book an appointment with the Artist. Please note for larger Tattoos and day pieces a larger deposit is required and will be at the Artists discretion. This is mandatory for each booked appointment.

-The deposit is non-refundable.

-As soon as the deposit has been received, an appointment date and time can be scheduled. Please ensure that this date is completely free of any other plans, to reduce stress and allow you to have a nice and easy day, and be able to relax after your Tattoo, as it may seem like you’re not doing much, but getting a Tattoo puts a lot on your body and it needs time to recover.

-A confirmation message will be sent to you to confirm your appointment date and time.

Your appointment:

-If you change your mind on what you want for your Tattoo, please let us know prior to your appointment date, so it allows time to redesign something for you. Any simple changes like size and little tweaks on the day are okay, but nothing too big as it would end up using your Tattoo time, and we may have other appointments on that day, and wouldn’t want to rush any design changes.

-If you’re unwell please do not come to your appointment. It risks others who may have lower immune systems, and this is a small business so Artist illness has a huge impact on the business itself. Please give us as much notice as possible even at least a few hours notice on the day of your appointment of any illness.

If you’re recovering but could still potentially be contagious please do not come to your appointment.

Do not worry your deposit will be carried over to your rescheduled appointment date.

-If for any reason you need to change your appointment date, time or both, we ask for at least a weeks’ notice. We can then carry over your deposit to the new appointment. If for any reason it is an emergency please let us know as soon as you’re possibly able to. Note- you will lose your deposit if you do not contact us in advance.

-On the day you must bring photo ID with you, either passport or driving license.

-Please arrive on time to your appointment.

-If you’re more than 20-30 minutes late, you will be charged for the lost time at the artists’ discretion, with the cost of your Tattoo on top of this. The Artist reserves the right to refuse to Tattoo you, if there isn’t enough time to complete your Tattoo before another appointment or before the studio closes. Note: you will lose your deposit if this is the case.

-Upon arrival to the studio please use the buzzer system to let your Artist know you’re here, or simply give them a call and they will come down and get you. Note: the studio is in a building with other businesses so please be respectful.

-You will need to present your ID and fill out the consent form prior to being Tattooed, please don’t arrive early to do this as the Artist may be with another client.

-You and your Artist may need to take breaks, whether that be comfort breaks or a break to stretch, it’s important that you take these.

-Do not rush your Artist as it may result in mistakes being made or an unfinished Tattoo.

-Do not drink alcohol or energy drinks 24 hours prior to getting your Tattoo.

-We will NOT Tattoo anyone under the influence of Drugs or Alcohol, and reserve the right to refuse to Tattoo you if we suspect this. Note: your deposit will not be refunded.

-Ensure you eat at least a couple of hours prior to your Tattoo, and bring food and drinks with you (sweet snacks are recommended and tea and coffee is available at the premises) bring Lunch with you if you’re booked for the whole day.

-You can bring one person with you to your appointment, anymore than one will be refused as we don’t have the space in the studio.

-You can book a consultation to meet your Artist, discuss your design and have a look around the studio especially if you’re feeling slightly anxious, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible when you’re in the studio.

-If we suspect you have Alcohol or drugs on you, you will be asked to leave and your deposit will not be refunded.

-Aftercare instructions will be provided and it is your responsibility to follow this after you have left the studio.

-Payment is accepted in cash and bank transfer

-Ink Season reserve the right to refuse to Tattoo you for any reason.
